Chill the fuck out

Stress can actually take years off your life. Meditation (and flossing) can do the opposite. Ever wonder why?

Cortisol is the stress hormone. When cortisol levels increase so do the fat storage hormones. Fight or flight mode hits. Our body puts digestion on hold in order to prepare to outrun the cheetah (or that woman reaching for the same skirt as you on the sale rack). When digestion isn’t occurring properly, we develop allergies, diseases, pack on the pounds, and start feeling like complete cheetah shit.

My number one tip to relaxing is breathing. Just breathe. Breathing (like time) cures all. That’s why I got it tattooed on my wrist. It’s a constant reminder.

“How would your life be different if…You stopped worrying about things you can’t control and started focusing on the things you can? Let today be the day…You free yourself from fruitless worry, seize the day and take effective action on things you can change.” -Setve Marboli Life, the Truth, and Being Free

“Pain is a relatively objective, physical phenomenon; suffering is our psychological resistance to what happens. Events may create physical pain, but they do not in themselves create suffering.
