Here is a perfect breakfast recipe to introduce some calm into your life and start you day off right. All of these ingredients have been said to calm your nervous system.

Calming Oatmeal

Calming Oatmeal


  • Gluten free oats
  • Coconut milk
  • Cacao (not cocoa)
  • Walnuts
  • Blueberries
  • Ground flaxseed


Mix 1/2 cup oats with 1 cup coconut milk in a deep bowl. Microwave 2 minutes, stir, microwave another 30 seconds. Let it stand. Once the oatmeal begins to thicken, add a teaspoon of cacao. Mix and taste before you add more. Incorporate ground flax, walnuts, and blueberries. Enjoy!
